Job Open:  Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS)

Frontier Surveying Co. is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor to join our growing Corpus Christi, Texas team.

Skills Required:

 

  • +5 years of survey experience

  • Current Texas RPLS License (Required)

  • Knowledge and experience with Easements, Rights of way surveys, Plats, ALTA’s, boundaries, property descriptions, topographic surveys, project management, oil and gas well surveys and stackings, well bore planning

  • Self motivated, Detail oriented individual who can plan schedule field crews, stay on top of jobs, answer clients questions, Be able to quote pricing on potential jobs, assign jobs to CAD Techs. Manage office and field crews. Be able to track all jobs from start to finish.

  • Effective communication skills, oral and written

  • Experience with both public and private sector work (EX: state, city, county, utility districts, private land development, Oil and Gas industry)

  • Team oriented and able to work within client expectations and timelines

  • May be required to complete safety or relative courses for project work.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office, and Outlook

  • Trimble, Leica devices, Laser Scanner, Drone and Hydro

  • Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License

  • Must be able to pass a full background check and drug test

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Construction Staking

Job Closed:  Rodman

A survey rodman transports and sets up the equipment necessary to survey land and prepare a job site. The rodman also loads vehicles before heading out to the construction site. You will be required to assist the surveyor. Your responsibilities in this career include marking the legal boundaries of a job site, cleaning out the area of trees or debris, and setting up the necessary measuring instrument. You hold the prism pole so the surveyor can determine elevation at different points along the site. Other duties include creating a map of the construction site and using GPS or other technology to help the surveyor. Safety is a mind set. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, walk long paths through thick brush, be able to follow detailed instructions, drive long distance in Texas, work outside hot and cold conditions for long periods of time and have valid drivers license. Be able to qualify for TWIC card to get on some job site. Random drug testing required. If you are an outdoors type of person, this is the job for you. Working area examples: ranches, brush country, military bases, ports, urban areas, industrial, construction sites, oil and gas fields.

  • Monday - Friday, some overtime.
